The Passo del Tonale offers unique freeride itineraries, you reach it by cable car and then head towards unique valleys far from the slopes. In half a day you can explore various routes of varying levels, accompanied by our snowboard instructors specialized in freeride.
Some examples:
Alaska, an itinerary that starts from Passo Paradiso and ends towards Ponte di Legno.
600 m of elevation difference. Ideal for a freeride adventure worthy of its name.
Alveo Presena, a spectacular itinerary that starts from Passo Paradiso (2,500 m) and descends for 800 meters of elevation through a charming valley.
Canalino del Diavolo: 700 meters of pure adrenaline, in a suggestive and technical channel to face!
Safety and Preparation for Freeride Outings
Before each freeride excursion, a mandatory briefing is scheduled during which:
The safety equipment will be checked.
A practical stage on the correct use of self-rescue systems (ARVA, shovel, and probe) will be conducted. Brief notes will be provided on route selection, weather conditions, bulletin, and risk mitigation techniques.
⚠️ It is mandatory to be equipped with a complete safety kit (ARVA, shovel, and probe).
For those without it, it is possible to rent the equipment directly on site.
Safety is our priority to ensure an exciting and responsible freeride experience.

The Passo del Tonale offers unique freeride itineraries, easily reachable with ski lifts. In one day you can explore various routes of different levels, accompanied by our snowboard instructors specialized in freeride.
Sgualdrina/Cantiere, starting at 3,000 meters altitude, you immerse yourself in incredible off-piste valleys, far from lifts and groomed slopes: natural lines, breathtaking views, and drops of up to 1,200–1,500 meters descent to Passo del Tonale.

Do you really want to learn how to use mountain self-rescue systems?
With our lessons dedicated to the use of ARVA, shovel, and probe, you will learn how to manage every phase of avalanche search and rescue correctly and effectively.
Through theoretical explanations and practical field sessions, you will discover how to use these tools in the best way, developing safety, speed, and awareness in emergency situations.
Because safety is your first equipment.
